Days 1-3 Melbourne
Australia’s cultural capital is a wonderful place to start your adventure. Discover the city’s laneways and arcades as you soak up the buzzing café culture.
Day 4 Melbourne to Mornington Peninsula
After picking up your car in Melbourne, head to the Mornington Peninsula which boasts a scenic coastline and more than 50 wineries to explore.
Day 5 Mornington Peninsula to Apollo Bay
Take the ferry from the Mornington Peninsula to Queenscliff to begin your journey along the magnificent Great Ocean Road.
Day 6 Apollo Bay
An ideal location from which to explore this scenic and wildlife-rich coastline. Take to the air on an unforgettable helicopter flight to view the famous Twelve Apostles at Port Campbell.
Days 7-8 Apollo Bay to Hobart
Drive back to Melbourne to drop your car at the airport and catch a flight to Hobart, Tasmania. Nestled amongst the foothills of Mount Wellington, Hobart has a captivating history and offers a great base from which you can explore historic Port Arthur, the rugged Tasman Peninsula and Bruny Island.
Day 9 Hobart to Strahan
Collect your maui motorhome and travel through the spectacular Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area to the frontier town of Strahan.
Days 10-11 Strahan to Cradle Mountain Marvel at the diverse scenery of Cradle Mountain’s Alpine Plateau and spend time exploring the ancient rainforests and Lake St Clair National Park on numerous walking trails.
Day 12 Cradle Mountain to George Town
Continue north to George Town. Visit the Warrawee Forest Reserve for the chance to spot platypus and follow the Tamar Valley Wine Route to explore the variety of rolling vineyards, orchards and olive groves.
Day 13 George Town to St Helens
Travel via Launceston, one of Australia’s oldest cities before continuing to the east coast to explore the Bay of Fires, named for its iconic orange-hued boulders and famed for its white sandy beaches.
Days 14-15 St Helens to Freycinet NP
Venture along the Great Eastern Drive from the Surf Coast to Freycinet National Park, passing through the eucalypt forest of Douglas-Apsley National Park and embark on a scenic cruise of Wineglass Bay.
Day 16 Freycinet NP to Hobart
Travel inland through the vineyards and berry farms of the Great Eastern Drive to Hobart. Drop off your motorhome this afternoon before your onward flight.
