Itinerary
Arrive in cheerful Perth and transfer to your hotel. Nestled in the vast nature of Western Australia, Perth is an urban oasis where you can both relax along pristine white-sand beaches and experience a wealth of bustling culture.
Day 3 Rottnest Island
Venture out of the city today, boarding a ferry to Rottnest Island. See the island’s highlights on a bus tour before lunch on a historical train ride. The island is yours to explore, admire the diversity of amazing flora and fauna, wander along the coastline, and don’t forget to snap a selfie with an adorable quokka.
Days 4-8 Perth to Sydney
Start your journey across the southern regions of Australia as you hop on board the Indian Pacific and settle into one of its contemporary cabins. Travel through the Avon Valley to the gold rush-era town of Kalgoorlie, then end the day stargazing by a bonfire in remote Cook. Watch as pastoral lands pass by your window en route to the Barossa Valley for a signature wine experience. Surrounded in native flora the soaring sandstone ridges of the Blue Mountains are the final stop, where you’ll have your choice of Off Train Experiences before arriving in Sydney.
Days 9-10 Sydney
Hello Sydney! The visual splendour of this harbourfront city is only part of the reason why it is so captivating, with a depth of activities and sights to choose from your Sydney Harbour Explorer 2 Day pass will help you navigate the scenic waterways as you try to see everything the city has to offer. On day 10 learn the insider secrets of the iconic Sydney Opera House on a guided tour around the architectural wonder. Later, take an evening cruise with spectacular views whilst enjoying delightful cuisine.
Day 11 Sydney to Melbourne
Spend your final day in Sydney at leisure, strolling the sunny sidewalks and catching one last glimpse of the city’s icons. This evening board the NSW TrainLink sleeper train to Melbourne.
Day 12 Melbourne
Roll into Melbourne as the sunrises over this dynamic city, today there is plenty of time to wander through the artsy laneways and try out the city’s culinary scene, as you get to know Australia’s cultural capital.
Day 13 Phillip Island
Enjoy a relaxed morning exploring Melbourne before visiting beautiful Phillip Island famed for its evening Penguin Parade and packed with much more to discover.
Days 14-17 Melbourne
Capture the entirety of this fascinating city at the southern hemisphere’s highest observation deck, Melbourne Skydeck provides breathtaking panoramic views and immersive VR experiences. On day 16 cruise to the glorious Bellarine Peninsula for your final rail journey of the trip. Onboard the Q Train enjoy an elegant 6-course dining experience where you’ll taste delightful local produce as you peer out the window to astounding views of the surrounding landscape.
