Itinerary

Day 1  Fly to Perth

Days 2-4  Perth
Arrive into Perth and discover a city full of culture, connection to nature and artistic expression. Take a tour out to visit a koala and wildlife sanctuary, see the spectacular Pinnacles Desert and try your hand at sandboarding.

Day 5  Perth to Rottnest Island
Head from city centre to quokka adventure on a scenic ferry journey along the Swan River and across to laidback Rottnest Island where your ecolodge by the beach awaits.

Day 6  Rottnest Island
Spend today exploring the island. If you can tear yourself away from the adorable resident quokkas, why not hire a bike and uncover the history of the island, take a walk to view the island’s pink lakes or enjoy snorkelling straight off one of the secluded beaches. In the evening, choose from a small but perfectly formed selection of local eateries that specialise in seafood and alfresco dining.

Day 7  Rottnest Island to Fremantle
Enjoy a relaxing morning on Rottnest Island before bidding farewell to your favourite quokka and boarding the ferry for the short journey back to the mainland to Fremantle.

Day 8  Fremantle
Bohemian and artistic Fremantle might be compact, but you will be surprised how much there is to fit in on your full day here. Visit Fremantle Prison to hear haunting stories of the city’s past, browse local crafts and gourmet treats in the famous Fremantle Market or discover the urban art trail. In between sights, be sure to sample the thriving local brewery and café scene.

Day 9  Fremantle to the Margaret River
Region Transfer back to Perth airport and pick up your car for the relaxed drive south to the famous vineyards of Western Australia.

Days 10-11  Margaret River Region
This rural region of winding country roads, rolling vineyards and wild coastline is a joy to explore. Enjoy a winery and tasting tour in stunning surroundings with a gastronomical experience to match. Otherwise, you are at leisure to sip, shop, sunbathe and savour the award-winning restaurants of the area.

Days 12-13  Fly home
Drive to Perth airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
