Itinerary

Day 1  Calgary      
Fly to Calgary and spend an evening exploring Alberta’s cosmopolitan gateway. For a great choice of local eateries, head across the Bow River to trendy Kensington.        

Day 2  Calgary        
Take in far reaching views from Calgary Tower or why not learn to lasso, hop on a saddle and discover the history of the world-famous Calgary Stampede at the immersive Sam Centre.        

Day 3  Calgary to Drumheller        
Pick up your car and drive through the Canadian Badlands to Drumheller, known as the ‘Dinosaur Capital of the World’. Horseshoe Canyon offers an excellent hiking stop on route.        
     
Day 4  Drumheller to Dinosaur Provincial Park      
Continue to Dinosaur Provincial Park, an otherworldly landscape home to the largest deposit of dinosaur fossils in the world. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a unique discovery around every turn.          

Day 5  Dinosaur Provincial Park to Waterton Lakes NP      
Journey to Alberta’s Southern Rockies and Waterton Lakes National Park, boasting minimal crowds alongside breathtaking mountain scenery.  

Days 6-7  Waterton Lakes NP    
Considered a hidden jewel of the Rockies, enjoy a day hike on one of the many trails, take a dip in the tranquil lakes or simply admire the sweeping vistas.  

Day 8  Waterton Lakes NP to Invermere            
Cross into British Columbia and enjoy a beautiful drive through Kootenay National Park to Invermere. Why not stop at the rejuvenating waters of the Radium or Fairmont Hot Springs for a relaxing soak.          

Day 9  Invermere to Golden      
Drive north to Golden, home of the epic Golden Skybridge. Explore 2 miles of surrounding trails and admire mesmerising views from two of Canada’s highest suspension bridges.        

Day 10  Golden to Lake Louise        
Wake early and head back to Alberta for an action-packed journey through the Rockies. Spend the remainder of the day enjoying the activities Lake Louise has to offer. Perhaps hike the surrounding trails or indulge in a sumptuous afternoon tea at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.          

Day 11  Lake Louise to Canmore        
Drive to the mountain town of Banff. Take a shuttle to the Banff Gondola for incomparable views atop Sulphur Mountain, before continuing to picturesque Canmore.      
     
Days 12-13  Canmore        
Located in the Canadian Rockies, the charming town of Canmore is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream, offering an abundance of activities and fantastic wildlife spotting opportunities. Keep your eyes peeled for characterful bighorn sheep!  

Days 14-15  Fly home        
Make the drive back to Calgary in time for your flight.
