Itinerary

Days 1-2  Calgary  
Fly into Calgary and spend some time exploring Alberta’s gateway city.  

Day 3  Calgary to Drumheller  
Pick up your car and drive into the Canadian Badlands and Drumheller, recognized as  the ’Dinosaur Capital of the World’.  

Day 4  Drumheller  
Today perhaps visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum, housing one of the world’s largest displays of dinosaur fossils, or climb up 106 stairs inside a huge model dinosaur for breathtaking views of the badlands.  

Day 5  Drumheller to Dakota Dunes Resort  
Journey through the prairies and into the province of Saskatchewan for your stay at 3 Dakota Dunes Resort, you'll explore Whitecap Dakota Territory’s rolling natural sand dunes and soak up the gorgeous views of unspoiled nature.  

Day 6  Dakota Dunes Resort  
Enjoy an authentic indigenous experience as you choose to discover the wonders of the night sky with fascinating storytelling, try your hand at canoeing or perhaps learn to set up a mini tipi (activities payable locally).  

Day 7  Dakota Dunes Resort to Saskatoon  
Continue to the vibrant city of Saskatoon.

Day 8  Saskatoon  
Explore the landscaped parks of the Meesawin Trail and perhaps take a sightseeing cruise on the South Saskatchewan River. Don’t miss a visit to Wanuskewin Heritage Park to learn about the Northern Plains First Nations culture.  

Day 9  Saskatoon to Regina  
Drive to Regina, stopping en route at the historic prairie town of Moose Jaw.  

Day 10  Regina  
Regina is home to the training academy for the world-famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Visit the engaging RCMP Heritage Centre which documents the force’s past and the critical role it has played in the development of Western Canada. Explore Wascana Lake Park, housing the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and the attractive Legislative Building.  

Day 11  Regina to Riding Mountain NP  
Your next stop is Riding Mountain National Park, in neighbouring province Manitoba.  

Day 12  Riding Mountain NP  
Enjoy the park’s extensive hiking trails and abundant wildlife, including black bear, elk, moose and lynx.  

Day 13  Riding Mountain NP to Winnipeg  
Depart for Manitoba’s capital, Winnipeg.  

Day 14  Winnipeg  
Dominating the city skyline, the eye-catching and immersive Canadian Museum of Human Rights is a must-see, as is the Royal Canadian Mint. At Assiniboine Park Zoo, see majestic polar bears in the memorable ‘Journey to Churchill’ exhibit.  

Days 15-16  Fly home  

Additional Options: Extend your trip by adding a stay at 3 Lazy Bear Lodge, one of the best places in the world to view polar bears. From Winnipeg, fly north to Churchill and enjoy 4 nights at Lazy Bear Lodge including sightseeing tours.
