Itinerary
Fly to Toronto, a vibrant, friendly and multi-cultural city. Check out the CN Tower, with its impressive views across Toronto and shimmering Lake Ontario, and perhaps explore the elegant Yorkville neighbourhood or visit the St Lawrence Market. Head to the mighty Niagara Falls to view the thundering falls in all their glory.
Day 4 Toronto to Ottawa
Board Via Rail’s The Corridor from Toronto Station and start your journey through the rural Ontario countryside heading inland to Canada’s majestic capital city, Ottawa.
Days 5-6 Ottawa
Ottawa is a compact city, perfect for exploring by foot. See the Rideau Canal, Parliament Hill and discover the ByWard Market area, home to a number of independent restaurants.
Day 7 Ottawa to Québec City
Leave the capital city behind and continue your rail journey into the province of Québec, crossing the St Lawrence River before reaching charming Québec City.
Days 8-9 Québec City
Wander the narrow alleys of Old Québec City, with its winding cobblestone streets and distinctly European ambiance. Soak up its rich heritage, visit the old Citadel and sample the local cuisine.
Day 10 Québec City to Montréal
Today, get back on board the train as you head south to the vibrant city of Montréal, known for its blend of old-world charm with modern sophistication.
Days 11-12 Montréal
Montréal is a lively city and it’s a pleasure to simply explore the streets and admire the architecture. The best way to explore this cultured city is on foot. Wander the different food markets, along the iconic Rue Saint-Paul and through the winding streets and plazas of Old Montréal. Perhaps also visit Mount Royal Park for sweeping city views.
