Kootenay Rockies & Okanagan Valley Loop

Day 1  Calgary        
Fly into Calgary, pick up your car and enjoy the evening in this friendly city.        

Day 2  Calgary to Canmore        
A one hour drive west brings you to the pretty mountain town of Canmore, sitting on the edge of Banff National Park.

Day 3  Canmore        
Today, why not join a tour to explore the beautiful nearby area on a wilderness walk or take to the skies for a thrilling helicopter flight over the Canadian Rockies.        

Day 4  Canmore to Invermere        
Drive into the spectacular Rocky Mountains and pause in Banff for a stroll on Banff Avenue, before a beautiful drive through Kootenay National Park. Stop at the rejuvenating waters of the Radium or Fairmont Hot Springs for a relaxing soak.        

Day 5  Invermere to Cranbrook      
Formerly a thriving railway town, Cranbrook’s history is reflected in its 19th Century heritage buildings and the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel.  

Day 6  Cranbrook to Nelson      
The small city of Nelson, located on the shores of Kootenay Lake, boasts elegant Victorian architecture, bustling cafés, great restaurants and an eclectic mix of shops.    

Day 7  Nelson        
The town’s street musicians, artists and galleries contrast wonderfully with the surrounding great outdoors.        

Day 8  Nelson to Osoyoos      
Continue to Osoyoos, located at the southern tip of the Okanagan Valley, Western Canada’s burgeoning wine region.

Day 9  Osoyoos        
Take a dip in the clear waters of Osoyoos Lake, sample the region’s local wines or stargaze on Mount Kobau. Visit the unique Spotted Lake – a First Nation’s sacred site and geological spectacle.        

Day 10  Osoyoos to Kelowna      
Continue through the Okanagan Valley along the lakeshore to Kelowna.        

Day 11  Kelowna        
Treat your tastebuds and join a tour of the area’s exceptional wineries.        

Day 12  Kelowna to Revelstoke      
Drive back into the mountains to Revelstoke, an attractive resort town with a thriving local spirit.      

Day 13  Revelstoke to Emerald Lake        
Journey on to 3★ Emerald Lake Lodge, a lakeside hideaway on the shores of Emerald Lake, in Yoho National Park.    

Day 14  Emerald Lake      
Relax in the serenity of the Canadian Rockies, where the sparkling waters reflect the surrounding mountain peaks.        

Day 15  Emerald Lake to Calgary      
Drive back to Calgary for your onward plans.
