Vancouver Island Coastal Discovery

Day 1 Victoria      
Arrive into British Columbia’s attractive capital city by flight or ferry and check in to your hotel, located just a few minutes walk from the bustling Inner Harbour.      

Day 2 Victoria      
Originally settled by the British in 1843, Victoria’s ancestry is still visible in its historic architecture, colourful gardens and tea rooms. Today, the city successfully combines its old world charm with bohemian shopping, innovative dining and an array of outdoor attractions. Enjoy a locally brewed beer on the harbour and be sure to take a whale watching cruise.      

Day 3 Victoria to Parksville  
Pick up your car and start your journey north to Parksville. The drive takes you through enchanting old forests and past some lovely ocean views.      

Day 4 Parksville      
Known for its picture-perfect crescents of golden sand, Parksville’s family-friendly beaches offer calm waters and scenic vistas back to the mainland. The area also boasts ancient forests, deep lakes and a multitude of scenic hiking opportunities. Explore the town’s craft shops and galleries, tour a local winery or play a round of golf on one of the many local courses.      

Day 5 Parksville to Tofino    
Cross the island to the windswept west coast, the captivating town of Tofino and stunning Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.    

Day 6 Tofino      
Discover the dense rainforest and stroll along the area’s infinite beaches, watching the waves strike the sand and local surfers braving the Pacific swell. Maybe take a bear watching cruise to search for black bears, who regularly emerge from the shoreline forests to search for food.    

Day 7 Tofino      
Today visit the town to sample some of Tofino’s unpretentious yet excellent restaurants. Its active arts scene, ingrained in nature and First Nation’s culture, is on display in a number of galleries and independent shops.      

Day 8 Tofino to Victoria      
Depart this morning to travel back across the island to finish your trip.
