Journey through China

Day 1  Fly to Beijing    

Days 2-3  Beijing  
Upon arrival into lively Beijing explore the city’s highlights including the impressive Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square.        

Day 4  The Great Wall    
Journey to the remarkable Great Wall at Mutianyu and explore its many spectacular watchtowers. Return to Beijing and visit the fabulous Summer Palace.        

Day 5  Beijing to Xian        
Board the bullet train for your high speed rail journey to Xian.        

Day 6  Xian        
Head to the world famous Terracotta Warriors to discover this magnificent excavation. Later, stop for a photo of Xian’s ancient city wall and visit the Great Mosque.        

Day 7  Xian to Chengdu        
Catch the bullet train to Chengdu.      

Day 8  Chengdu        
Visit Chengdu’s Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Learn about the base’s conservation work and spend some time observing these adorable animals. Later stroll along atmospheric Jinli Street.        

Day 9  Chengdu to Lijiang        
Fly to the quaint town of Lijiang. The afternoon is yours to discover Lijiang's maze of cobbled streets and vibrant markets.        

Day 10  Jade Dragon Snow Mountain        
Take a cable car part way up Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and walk amongst the lofty spruce trees whilst admiring the breathtaking scenery. Later, visit sleepy Yuhu Village to see typical Naxi architecture (traditional wooden houses with bird-wing roofs).        

Day 11  Tiger Leaping Gorge        
Travel through Yunnan’s beautiful countryside to reach the first bend of the Yangtze River. Continue on to the Tiger Leaping Gorge and enjoy incredible views over one of the most dramatic and deepest gorges in the world.  

Day 12  Lijiang to Guilin      
After a morning at leisure fly to Guilin.      

Day 13  Guilin to Yangshuo        
Take a scenic cruise along the Li River viewing the dramatic limestone peaks and verdant countryside.  

Day 14  Yangshuo      
Today is yours to explore the pretty streets filled with local cafés and craft shops.

Days 15-16  Fly home      
Transfer by road to Guilin to catch the train to Hong Kong airport.
