Walled Cities & Warriors

Days 1-3  Beijing  
Fly to Beijing. Arrive the following day and check into your hotel. The following day your adventure begins with a full day tour of Beijing’s iconic attractions including the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square.      

Day 4  The Great Wall    
A main highlight of any trip to China, today’s sightseeing takes you to the magnificent Great Wall at Mutianyu. Explore this superb piece of architecture and its grand watchtowers before visiting the Summer Palace on your return to the city.      

Day 5  Beijing to Pingyao      
Take a high speed train to Taiyuan where you will be transferred to the incredible walled city of Pingyao, visiting Chang’s Mansion en route.    

Day 6  Pingyao      
Discover the quaint cobbled streets of this well-preserved ancient city. Visit one of China’s oldest banks, the old city tower and Confucius Temple.  

Day 7  Pingyao to Xian      
Board the train to Xian. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the city at your leisure.    

Day 8  Xian      
Visit the impressive Terracotta Warriors as well as the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Great Mosque and Xian’s vibrant Muslim Quarter.      

Days 9-10  Fly home
