Tokyo Sumo Tournament Tour

Welcome to the world of sumo wrestling. Where better to experience this traditional sport than Japan's famous Kokugikan National Sumo Arena. Everyone will receive an English guidebook about sumo, which can be used as reference during the tournament. Once you've met your guide at a nearby hotel for a short lecture about the history of the sport, proceed across the street with the group to the stadium, where flags are waving, excitement is high, and crowds of fans await their favourite wrestlers. See the entrance ceremony of the highest ranked yokozuna wrestlers, after which the matches start and continue until 18:00. Guests are free to explore the stadium as they please, with a sumo museum, shops selling sumo related goods and souvenirs, and a number of food stands offer various snacks and drinks are located. There is even a hall where sumo wrestlers serve chanko nabe, the delicious stew that they eat to bulk up.
