Itinerary
Meet your Tour Manager and fellow travellers at St Pancras and take the Eurostar to Brussels, Belgium. Change trains and continue on to Frankfurt where you spend the night.
Day 2 Frankfurt to Vienna, Austria
Travel south through Germany en route to the Austrian border and the glorious city of Vienna, the former home of Mozart.
Day 3 Vienna
Discover sublime Vienna this morning on a guided city tour. The ornate architecture is a sight to behold and a relic of the Habsburg Empire. Later, take a tour of Schoenbrunn Palace, the summer house of the Imperial Family, before enjoying an Apple Strudel Show at its traditional Viennese café.
Day 4 Vienna
Today is free for you to explore as you wish. Opt to visit the magnificent St Stephen’s Cathedral, admire the impressive dancing horses near Hofburg Palace or visit a Viennese coffeehouse for a decadent Viennese style coffee.
Day 5 Vienna to Budapest, Hungary
Say goodbye to Austria and board the train to Hungary’s attractive capital city. Pass through scenic landscapes and arrive in Budapest in the early afternoon ready to embark on a guided tour. Enjoy dinner at a traditional Hungarian restaurant before a cruise along the Danube to see the illuminated city sights.
Day 6 Budapest
This morning, enjoy a ride on the Children’s Railway which runs through the Buda Hills. This heritage railway is primarily operated by rail enthusiast Hungarian children. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps unwind with a visit to one of the ornate spas.
Day 7 Budapest to Prague, Czech Republic
Board the train in Budapest and travel alongside the Danube river en route to Prague.
Day 8 Prague
Embark on a guided tour through the narrow streets of Stare Mesto, the old town, to see Prague Castle and stroll across Charles Bridge over the Vltava River.
Day 9 Prague
Today is free for you to wander Prague and discover hidden corners of this beautiful city. After seeing the sights, choose from the many gourmet restaurants and traditional pubs to finish off the day.
Day 10 Prague to Berlin, Germany
Head north into Germany, following the winding course of the River Elbe. On arrival in Berlin, join an interesting sightseeing tour of this once divided city and visit sights including the incredible Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag.
Day 11 Berlin
Spend today exploring the city’s deep history and rich culture at your own pace.
Day 12 Berlin to London
Travel on board a high speed train via Cologne back to Brussels, Belgium. Join the Eurostar for your journey back to London.
