Exploring the Balkans

Day 1  Dubrovnik, Croatia            
Arrive into Dubrovnik and transfer to your hotel in Babin Kuk. This picturesque peninsula is just a 15 minute taxi or bus journey from the old town but offers pebble beaches, crystal clear waters and lovely coves. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the sun followed by a delicious Croatian dinner.                        

Day 2  Dubrovnik                  
See the city from a storytelling perspective with your included Game of Thrones tour. Your guide will introduce you to key filming locations, giving you an insight into both the history of Dubrovnik and the making of the famous show.  

Day 3  Dubrovnik to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina            
This morning you’ll head back to the airport to collect your car and make your way north along the coast to the picturesque town of Ston. Famous for its salt production, the city is entirely surrounded by dramatic fortified walls. After your visit cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina and drive to Mostar and its most famous landmark, the Stari Most Bridge.                        

Day 4  Mostar                
Visit the spectacular Kravice waterfalls, see the thundering falls and maybe take a swim in the pristine pools. Afterwards visit the historic monuments of the riverside Blagaj Tekke mosque and Pocitelj’s charming old town.                

Day 5  Mostar to Split, Croatia            
Depart Mostar and drive south back into Croatia. Drop off your car at Split airport before heading into the warren of historic streets and quaint alleys to your hotel in the heart of the old town.      

Day 6  Split                      
Spend the day exploring Split's ancient palaces and take a wander through the cobbled streets and hidden alleyways of Diocletian’s palace. Enjoy some lunch at one of the many waterfront cafés for delicious seafood and perhaps a chilled glass of local wine.          

Day 7  Split                      
Enjoy a final morning exploring, maybe relax with a coffee on the Riva waterfront or pick up some souvenirs before heading to the airport for your flight home.
