Why not start today with a visit to one of the city’s most popular museums, the creative Amos Rex. Built below the city plaza, the exhibition space extends up, bursting out into the square above. Next make your way to Senate Square to see the iconic blue domed Lutheran Cathedral. Finish the day with dinner beside the harbour at one of the delicious street food stalls in Market Square.

Today explore one the city’s nearest islands. Regular ferries shuttle visitors back and forth from Market Square to Suomenlinna Island in the Baltic Sea. In summer grab a picnic and relax on one of the grassy cliffs surrounded by fascinating military relics. In winter, when the sea freezes, brave the deck to watch as the boat clears a path through the sea ice on the 20 minute journey. Warm up with a delicious lunch in one of the excellent restaurants.
