Athens & Tinos

Day  1  Athens        
Arrive in a city bound by history and immediately discover the remnants of Ancient Greece as you travel through Athens’ beautiful streets to your hotel. Waste no time and head out on foot to explore the spectacular antiques of this great city. Athens has become one of Europe’s most noted spots for street art and creative surprises lie around nearly every corner. This afternoon, why not take the traditional cable car to the highest spot in Athens, Lycabettus Hill, where you can observe beautiful views over the entire city.        

Day 2  Athens        
Delve into Greek history and legends on your included tour of the Acropolis. Explore renowned sites like the Temple of Athena Nike and the legendary Parthenon. Continue to the Acropolis Museum to marvel at original treasures from the temples of the Acropolis. The rest of your time can be spent exploring at leisure. Perhaps stroll the famous neighbourhood of Plaka, boasting narrow laneways of small enthralling museums, ancient sights and historic churches.        

Day 3  Athens to Tinos      
Take the short ferry over to the enchanting island of Tinos. As one of the smaller of the Cyclades islands, Tinos has been able to retain much of its old-world charm, making it the ideal choice for those seeking a more peaceful and traditional experience.  

Days 4-5  Tinos  
Discover this unspoilt haven, a true hidden gem amongst the Greek islands with beautiful untouched beaches, plenty of walking trails and traditional Greek villages. Begin your first day with a stroll around the cobblestone streets of Tinos town, discovering its unique architecture, quaint boutique shops, and vibrant atmosphere. Perhaps take a climb up the hill to visit the famous pilgrimage site of the Holy Church of the Virgin Mary. Finally, relax in the atmospheric centre enjoying some traditional mezze. Spend the next couple days exploring the rest of this gorgeous island with plenty of stunning beaches, beautiful countryside and hidden villages to uncover.        

Day 6  Tinos to Athens      
Enjoy a leisurely morning before hopping back over to Athens for a final night in this enchanting city.      

Day 7  Athens        
Cherish your final morning with a gentle stroll through the National Gardens. Tucked away in the heart of Athens, the gardens provide a peaceful retreat from the bustling city. Later, transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
