Greek Island Hopping: Rhodes & Kos

Days 1-4  Rhodes  
Fly to Rhodes and on arrival on to this sundrenched island, transfer to your hotel. Spend the next few days exploring the many sights Rhodes has to offer. In the south sits the beautifully preserved Acropolis of Lindos, one of Greece’s most magnificent archaeological sites with an impressive location built on a steep cliff overlooking the sea. To the north, uncover the narrow streets, classic architecture and medieval churches of Rhodes Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Gothic Palace of the Grand Master and the cobblestoned Street of the Knights.  

Day 5  Rhodes to Kos  
Take the ferry over to Rhodes’ smaller neighbouring island of Kos and transfer to your serene hotel where you will spend the next three nights.  

Days 6-7  Kos  
Much like Rhodes, Kos boasts its own stunning beaches, ancient old town and medieval monuments. Discover the rich history of Kos with a visit to the Roman Odeon of Kos and the medieval Nerantziá Castle before exploring Asklepion, an ancient sanctuary dedicated to the god of healing. Head into vibrant Kos Town and experience the island’s richly diverse history, with Greek, Roman, Byzantine, medieval and Ottoman ruins interwoven with modern parks, cafés and streets. Hippocrates’ Tree, claimed to be the oldest plane tree in Europe, has been standing the centre of Kos Town for over 2,400 years and is said to be where Hippocrates taught his pupils. In between exploring, make sure to check out some of the finest beaches in Greece, from the soft white sand of Mastihari to the dramatic black volcanic pebbles and thermal waters of Thermes.  

Day 8  Fly home
