Best of Tuscany: Florence, Lucca & Pisa

Days 1-3  Florence
Fly into Florence and take a private transfer to your hotel. Venture into the city and cap off your first day with a dish of authentic Italian pasta. Begin your second day with a visit to the symbol of Florence, the iconic Duomo. Skip the queues with your included ticket and ascend the 463 steps for commanding city views. Afterwards, be astounded by the beauty of Italian Renaissance art with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery. Spend the last morning with a visit to the Accademia Gallery, home of Michaelangelo’s legendary David statue. Later, become a master of Italian cooking with a course teaching you the art of Italian pizza and gelato-making.

Days 4-6  Florence to Lucca
Board your comfortable train to the beautiful city of Lucca, situated in the northwest of Tuscany. Settle into your hotel and enjoy a traditional dinner at one of the numerous nearby restaurants accompanied by a glass of Tuscan red wine. Join your guided walking tour to explore some of the city’s famous landmarks including the Church of San Michele in Foro, the Basilica of San Frediano, and Lucca Cathedral, featuring a stunning mosaic façade. Start the next day with a challenging but rewarding climb to the top of the 15th Century Torre Guinigi, famous for its seven lofty trees perched atop the tower.

Day 7  Lucca to Pisa
Set off today for Pisa, taking in the gorgeous Tuscan scenery from your train window. Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon enjoying a guided tour of the impressive Square of Miracles trio – the Leaning Tower of Pisa (with skip the line access), the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the Baptistry, dotted around a marvellous green lawn.

Day 8  Fly home
