Cruise From Rome to The Amalfi Coast

Day 1  Rome    
Fly to beautiful Rome and meet your private transfer to your hotel. Known as one of the world’s most inspiring and romantic cities, relax into la dolce vita lifestyle by roaming the picturesque streets.    

Day 2  Rome    
Skip the line at the Colosseum and enjoy your guide’s tales on your visit to the arena floor and Gladiator’s Gate. You’ll also get a further insight into ancient Rome visiting Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Spend the rest of your time indulging in mouthwatering pizza, pasta and gelato, admiring Rome’s many timeless landmarks from the Trevi Fountain to the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps or by ambling through the city’s maze of back streets.    

Day 3  Rome    
Spend the day at leisure exploring more of Rome’s enchanting streets and iconic landmarks, perhaps going to Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Discover the galleries from Raphael’s Rooms to Michelangelo’s incredible Sistine Chapel. This evening, relax in an alfresco setting where you can indulge in a delicious dinner at a local pizzeria.    

Day 4  Cruise Embarkation    
Transfer to Civitavecchia port, board the Star Clipper and set sail for Amalfi.    

Day 5  Relaxing at sea    

Day 6  Amalfi    
Amalfi is a magnificent coastal town offering an enchanting blend of natural beauty, rich history and Mediterranean charm. For a sense of Amalfi’s medieval glory, wander through the grand Duomo, containing the remains of St Andrew or perhaps hike along the one of the beautiful coastal walking trails.    

Day 7  Sorrento    
Sorrento is located on the lovely Amalfi Coast and overlooks the Bay of Naples. Optional excursions include taking a trip back in history to Pompeii, where the ashen remains of ancient Romans lie frozen in time since they were buried by a violent eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius.

Day 8  Ponza,    
Pontine Islands The pastel houses of Ponza Town rise in neat, terraced rows from the busy harbour where sleekly groomed yachts and ramshackle fishing boats moor side by side. Wander through the unspoiled town, visit one of the pebbled beaches, or just simply sip on an espresso as you watch the boats pass by the harbour.

Day 9  Disembark in Civitavecchia for Rome and fly home
