Itinerary
Days 1-2 Verona, Italy
Fly to Verona, a lovely UNESCO World Heritage listed city. Over the next couple of days explore the enchanting streets and admire the medieval sights.
Days 3-5 Verona to Lake Garda
Arrive into Lake Garda after a scenic train journey through Italy’s lake region. Make the most of the ancient villages surrounding the lake such as Sirmione and Limone sul Garda.
Day 6 Lake Garda to Milan
Take the train to Milan. Wander the cobbled streets around the high-end shopping district or visit one of the many museums and galleries.
Days 7-8 Milan to Lake Como
Enjoy the dramatic scenery from the train before arriving into picturesque Lake Como, arguably the most stunning of Italy’s lakes.
Days 9-10 Lake Como to Lugano, Switzerland
Journey by rail to Lugano, a lovely Swiss city overlooking the glistening lake. Over the next week, use your included pass to explore the surrounding areas.
Day 11 Gotthard Panorama Express
Board the iconic Gotthard Panorama Express to Fluelen, passing dramatic mountain scenery. Upon arrival, board a boat down Lake Lucerne to Lucerne Pier.
Day 12 Lucerne
Explore this charming old town, wandering along the famed Chapel Bridge and perhaps venturing to the nearby Mount Pilatus for breathtaking panoramas.
Days 13-15 Lucerne to Interlaken
Take the train to Interlaken, set in a beautiful valley between two lakes.
Day 16 Transfer by rail to Zurich and fly home
