Fly to Venice, often considered one of the most romantic cities in the world with its enchanting maze of streets and bridges set over turquoise waterways.

Days 2-3  Venice
Spend the day exploring the most famous and iconic sites on an included tour with a local guide. Soak up the views from the terrace at St Marks Basilica and take the fast track at Doge’s Palace. Complete a marvellous day with a quintessential gondola ride along the Grand Canal. The following day, take a boat ride over to Murano Island and wander along its colourful streets, perhaps taking home a traditional glasswork souvenir.

Days 4-5  Venice to Lake Garda
Today, enjoy a scenic train through Italy’s lake region to the beautiful Lake Garda where you will be based for the next couple of days. Spend your time visiting the charming historic villages set around the lake or try out the wide variety of outdoor activities including hiking, cycling and kayaking. Perhaps visit the enchanting village of Sirmione, renowned for its imposing medieval Scaligero Castle or, for the best views of Lake Garda, take the Monte Baldo Cable Car, transporting you to panoramic scenes above the valley.

Days 6-7  Lake Garda to Verona
Say farewell to the lake scenery as you board your train to the city of romance – Verona, known for its association with Romeo and Juliet. Familiarise yourself with this charming city and make sure to visit the ancient Roman amphitheatre, dating back the 1st Century yet still hosting concerts to this day. Spend the following day visiting its famous sites such as Juliet’s balcony at the Casa di Giulietta, walk along the impressive Castelvecchio Bridge and witness the exquisite Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore.

Days 8-9  Verona to Florence
Continue to Florence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its majestic and intricate architecture. Wander along its charming streets, passing boutiques, cafés, and restaurants as well as world-class art museums and awe-inspiring architecture at every turn. Take advantage of your Florence Duomo tour as you learn the incredible history of this 13th Century cathedral and admire views from the highest building in the city.

Days 10-11  Florence to Rome
Arrive into Italy’s buzzing capital discovering ancient wonders and savouring delicious pizza. Spend your first afternoon at leisure exploring Rome’s enchanting streets and iconic landmarks, including the world-famous Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, and the Pantheon – one of the greatest Roman temples. The following day, visit the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel.
