Rome, Venice and Portofino with La Dolce Vita Orient Express

Day 1  Rome  
Fly to Rome and start your trip with a wander through the picturesque streets, passing by vibrant boutiques, quaint cafés and bustling piazzas.  

Days 2-3  Rome  
Enjoy two days marvelling at Rome’s most famous landmarks. Skip the queues for the mighty Colosseum and allow your guide to bring this formidable sight to life. Admire the renowned murals by Michelangelo in the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel followed by a visit to St Peters Basilica. Experience ambient evenings dining alfresco in a local pizzeria.  

Day 4  La Dolce Vita Orient Express
Board La Dolce Vita Orient Express in the late morning and enjoy a sumptuous lunch in the Restaurant Car curated by 3-Michelin starred Chef Heinz Beck. Arrive in the enchanting city of Venice and relax with some free time or opt for a Grand Canal boat tour with dinner in an ancient Palazzo. At midnight, La Dolce Vita Orient Express heads for the coastal paradise of Portofino.    

Day 5  La Dolce Vita Orient Express
Start your day with a lavish breakfast spread on board the train, before arriving into Santa Margherita Ligure, a splendid seaside town on the Italian Riviera. After travelling by road to Portofino, spend the day exploring the piazza, waterfront promenade and checking out the local boutiques and cafés. Return to the train for dinner.  

Day 6  Rome  
Delight in an indulgent Italian breakfast on board before arriving back in Rome for a day at leisure.
