Sardinia's Sights & Sands

Day 1  Porto Cervo    
Fly to Olbia and upon arrival, pick up your car before driving the short journey north to the Italian seaside resort of Porto Cervo.    

Days 2-3  Porto Cervo    
Sardinia’s beaches often top the list of the world’s best, and with your own car you’re free to discover them at your leisure. Why not head to Spiaggia del Principe, a magnificent crescent of white sand bordered by unspoilt green landscapes and startlingly clear blue waters. Alternatively, why not head to Sardinia’s northern most tip of Capo Testa, home to secluded, scenic hiking trails and incredible sunsets.    

Day 4  Maddalena Archipelago    
Often called Sardinia’s secret islands, the Maddalena Archipelago offers a cluster of islands boasting stunning beauty. Catch the ferry (payable locally) from Palau and explore pure paradise. Day 5 Porto Cervo to Alghero Today leave Porto Cervo behind as you drive from coast to coast, arriving into Alghero, best known for its cobblestone old centre and Catalan Gothic buildings.    

Days 6-7  Alghero  
Stroll around Alghero’s old town, from its waterfront fortifications to its striking religious architecture. Make time for the Porta Terra Tower, offering fantastic views from the top.    

Day 8  Bosa    
Today drive south along the picturesque coastal road to Bosa, passing dramatic rock formations en route. One of the most attractive towns on the island, Bosa is famed for its rainbow coloured buildings that line the water’s edge.    

Day 9  Fly home    
After a leisurely morning, drive back to Olbia, dropping off your car before catching your onward flight home.
