Sardinia's Sights & Sands

Day 1  Olbia  
Fly to Olbia and pick up your car before driving to your beach resort.

Days 2-3  Olbia  
Sardinia’s beaches often top the list of the world’s best, and with your own car you’re free to discover them at your leisure. Why not head to Spiaggia del Principe, a magnificent crescent of white sand bordered by unspoilt green landscapes and strikingly clear blue waters. Alternatively, why not head to Sardinia’s northern most tip of Capo Testa, home to secluded, scenic hiking trails and incredible sunsets. There is also the beautiful seaside resort of Porto Cervo, only a short journey north, if you’re after some retail therapy.

Day 4  Maddalena Archipelago  
Often called Sardinia’s secret islands, the Maddalena Archipelago offers a cluster of islands boasting stunning beauty. Catch the ferry (payable locally) from Palau and explore pure paradise.

Day 5  Olbia to Alghero  
Today, leave Olbia behind as you drive from coast to coast, arriving into Alghero, best known for its cobblestone old centre and Catalan Gothic buildings.

Days 6-7  Alghero  
Stroll around Alghero’s old town, from its waterfront fortifications to its striking religious architecture. Make time for the Porta Terra Tower, offering fantastic views from the top.

Day 8  Bosa  
Today, why not drive south along the picturesque coastal road to Bosa, passing dramatic rock formations en route. One of the most attractive towns on the island, Bosa is famed for its rainbow-coloured buildings that line the water’s edge.

Day 9  Fly home  
After a leisurely morning, drive back to Olbia and drop off your car before catching your flight home.
