Southern Sardinia

Day 1  Cagliari  
Fly to Cagliari and transfer to your hotel in the city centre. Cascading down a hillside, historic Cagliari is an eclectic mix of narrow, cobbled lanes, multi-coloured palazzi, and ancient ruins. This afternoon, relax into your new surroundings, soaking in the stunning sea views and balmy weather before indulging in some delicious local cuisine.  

Days 2-3  Cagliari  
Spend the next two days exploring Cagliari. Why not start in Il Castello, the city’s oldest district? Climb the iconic Saint Remy Bastion for commanding city and sea views or head to the grand Cathedral di Santa Maria to marvel at its elaborate frescoes. For history lovers, the ruins of Cagliari’s Roman amphitheatre are well worth a visit or perhaps delve into Sardinia’s past at the National Archaeological Museum. In the evenings, choose from one of Cagliari’s many restaurants or traditional trattorias to indulge in a plate of tasty Malloreddus, a unique pasta found only in Sardinia.  

Day 4  Cagliari to Chia  
Leave Cagliari behind and transfer to your beach hotel, approximately one hour by road from the city. The perfect place to relax, Sardinia’s picturesque coastline is renowned for its idyllic beaches and glittering waters.  

Days 5-8  Chia  
Spend the next few days unwinding in the sunshine. When you’re not relaxing on the beach or cooling off in the crystal clear sea, take advantage of your hotel’s facilities. Spend time lounging beside the pool, treat yourself to a pampering spa treatment, and sample delicious cuisine at the excellent selection of restaurants.  

Day 9  Transfer to Cagliari and fly home
