Unforgettable Umbria

Days 1-3  Perugia  
Fly to Perugia, Umbria’s capital and spend your first evening at the vibrant Piazza IV Novembre square. The following morning enjoy a private walking tour. Visit the incredible underground fortress of Rocca Paolini and stop by one of the most beautiful medieval fountains in Italy, Fontana Maggiore, before ending your tour at Perugia’s Duomo, featuring ornate Gothic architecture.    

Days 4-5  Perugia to Gubbio  
This morning, pick up your car and then make your way to the medieval town of Gubbio. Arrive and enjoy an authentic pizza in the Piazza Grande with a stunning view of the valley below. Start the next day with a visit to Gubbio’s striking main cathedral, the Basilica of Saint Ubaldo, perched atop Mount Ignino. Afterwards, explore the incredible medieval Palazzo dei Consoli, originally designed as a space to carry out civic duties.    

Days 6-8  Gubbio to Assisi  
After breakfast, drive to the beautiful town of Assisi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and long-standing Catholic pilgrimage site. Start the next day with your included walking tour, begin with a visit to the Basilica of St Clare, observing the stunning interiors as you wonder through the building and absorb the ethereal aura of the timeless cathedral. End your tour with a visit to Assisi’s most iconic site, the Basilica of St Francis of Assisi    

Days 9-10  Assisi to Foligno    
After breakfast, set off from Assisi, and en route to Foligno, stop off at the pinkstoned and flower-filled town of Spello. Afterwards, continue to Folignano, arriving in time for dinner. The following day, stroll through Foligno’s Parco dei Canape and check out the fascinating medieval Palazzo Trinci, which features an eye-opening museum and splendid gallery.    

Days 11-12  Foligno to Todi    
Today, take the scenic route from Foligno to Todi and visit some of Umbria’s prettiest towns along the way before arriving at your hotel in Todi, in the evening. Spend the next morning discovering this beautiful hilltop town, highlights include the Palazzo del Popolo which features the Civic Museum, the Gothic and Renaissance style Cathedral of San Fortunato and the Pinacoteca Museum of Todi.

Day 13  Fly home    
Drive back to Perugia and drop off your car before your flight home.
