Venice by Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

Day 1  London to Paris        
Board the Eurostar at London King's Cross St. Pancras and enjoy the comfort on board as you journey to Paris. Immerse yourself in this captivating city with a stroll along the Seine to the famous Champs-Élysées and magnificent Arc de Triomphe. This evening, why not head to the Eiffel Tower to admire it sparkling against the night sky?        

Day 2  Paris to Venice      
This morning, visit some of Paris’ iconic sights such as the fascinating Louvre or the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral. Board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in the late afternoon and settle into your cabin as you leave the lights of Paris behind you. Enjoy a delicious four course dinner in one of the three beautifully restored 1920s restaurant cars, afterwards listen to the ivories of the resident pianist as you socialise with other guests.          

Day 3  Venice Simplon-Orient-Express  
After a comfortable night’s sleep, awake to the dramatic scenery of the Swiss Alps. Enjoy a sumptuous three course lunch as the train winds its way through Italy, finally crossing the Venetian Lagoon, arriving into the Santa Lucia railway station in the early evening. Take a private boat transfer to the idyllic Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel, located on Giudecca Island. This iconic hideaway is the perfect place to relax and soak up the unrivalled views of Doge’s Palace and the lagoon.                  

Day 4  Venice              
Venice is an incredible city, built on over 100 islands with 409 bridges and 150 canals. Walk the Grand Canal and marvel at the splendour of the monumental buildings from Byzantine, Gothic and Renaissance periods. Sightseeing highlights include the imposing Doge’s Palace, the Basilica of San Marco, the Rialto Bridge and the Piazza San Marco.

Day 5  Venice              
No visit to Venice would be complete without a cruise through its enchanting canals. Why not take to the water on a small group tour to explore the many waterways? Get a full overview of this mesmerising city or simply explore at your own pace.              

Day 6  Venice                
Enjoy a final morning wandering this romantic city before your holiday comes to an end.
