Itinerary
Fly into Malta and transfer to your hotel, situated in the heart of the walled city of Valletta. The afternoon is yours to start exploring the city and admire its famous architecture.
Days 2-4 Malta
Spend the next three days exploring this glorious island at your own pace. From your hotel in Valletta, it is easy to explore the island’s wealth of history, ancient sites and fascinating museums. Be sure to visit St John’s Co-Cathedral which dates back to the 16th Century and is adorned with artistic masterpieces and features rich baroque art and relics. Explore further to find the Hypogeum, a labyrinth of underground chambers, megalithic monuments, and remains of Roman villas. Perhaps take a traditional water taxi, known locally as a dghajsa, across Valletta’s Grand Harbour and enjoy relaxing at one of the many sheltered bays that dot the coastline, known for their red-gold beaches and distinctly clear waters.
Day 5 Malta to Gozo
This morning, hop aboard the ferry to Gozo. Enjoy the short but scenic journey to Malta’s neighbouring island and settle into your hotel which overlooks the charming Mgarr Harbour. Conveniently located close to Mgarr’s shops and restaurants, spend the rest of the afternoon exploring.
Days 6-7 Gozo
The next couple of days are yours to discover Gozo. Renowned for a relaxed pace of life, delight in the delicious authentic cuisine, an enticing mix of Sicilian and Middle Eastern flavours. Be sure to visit the Ggantija Temples, which are older than the pyramids of Egypt, or alternatively if you are feeling active, clifftop hiking, kayaking and boat trips are popular. With plenty of sun drenched beaches across the island, take some time to relax. Perhaps take a day trip to the island of Comino to snorkel the azure waters of the Blue Lagoon, one of the most spectacular sights on the Maltese islands.
Day 8 Fly home
Today take the ferry back to Malta and transfer by road to the airport for your flight home.
