Malta's Undiscovered Ruins & Sandy Shores

Home for the week is St Julian’s, an urban seaside town just north of Malta’s ancient capital Valetta. Boasting charming shops, plenty of restaurants and bars a vibrant nightlife, this is a great base. Head on to a number of the surrounding beaches to relax in the Mediterranean sun. The popular St George’s Bay pebble beach is on the door step, or discover Spinola Bay, scattered with colourful fishing boats and seaside restaurants.                

There is plenty of time to explore the islands wealth of history, prehistoric sites and fascinating museums. St John’s Co-Catherdral dates back to the 16th Century and is adorned with artistic masterpieces and an intricate Baroque interior. Explore further to find the Hypogeum, a labyrinth of underground chambers, megalithic monuments and remains of Roman villas.                

Or if you are feeling more active, take to the waters to discover the island’s stunning diving spots. Comino’s Blue Lagoon, a tranquil cove to the west of the island is the ideal place to take a dip and try out your snorkel! During your week’s stay you can even escape to the islands less-trodden beaches with Imgieban Bay worth the trek. Or simply relax at your hotel by the pool and enjoy this paradise in the Mediterranean.
