Amsterdam, Paris, Zurich & Venice by Rail

Day 1  London to Amsterdam, Netherlands    
Start your journey from London St Pancras as you board the Eurostar to Amsterdam. On arrival, wander around this city, known for its narrow alleyways, multitude of canals and array of different restaurants.    

Day 2  Amsterdam    
Today can be started by visiting the incredible Rijksmuseum, famed for housing some of the world’s most sought after paintings by the likes of Rembrandt and Van Gogh. After soaking up over 800 years of Dutch history, enjoy a leisurely cruise down the canal and admire the intricate architecture.    

Day 3  Amsterdam to Paris, France    
Start the day by boarding a train to the City of Light, Paris. Once checked in to your hotel, perhaps visit Champs-Élysées and admire the famous Arc de Triomphe, built to celebrate the military achievements of the French armies. Later, visit the Louvre and get a close-up on the world’s most famous painting, the Mona Lisa.    

Day 4  Paris    
This morning, get your camera ready as you marvel at the beautiful Eiffel Tower, accompanied by your tour guide. Ascend to the second floor observation deck to take in the breathtaking views of the city including iconic landmarks such as L’Arc de Triomphe and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Afterwards, board a memorable Seine cruise as you explore the highlights of this iconic city.    

Day 5  Paris to Zurich, Switzerland    
Bid farewell to Paris and hop on a train to the fairytale city of Zurich. Enjoy a leisurely day walking around the city surrounded by rolling mountains, stunning architecture and crystal blue lakes. Perhaps take a train ride for awe-inspiring views of the alpine peaks and rich green countryside or put your sweet tooth to the test by visiting Lindt Home of Chocolate.    

Day 6  Zurich to Venice, Italy    
After a final stroll around Zurich, board your train and note the change in scenery as you head to Venice. Transfer by water taxi to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy a stroll through the winding alleyways.    

Day 7  Venice    
Spend the morning on a guided group tour to visit some of Venice’s main landmarks. This express tour will maximise your time in Venice as you skip the line and gain entrance to the stunning St Mark’s Basilica and the popular Doge’s Palace and learn the rich history behind them. Finish your tour in true Venetian style with a scenic gondola ride along the canals.    

Day 8  Venice    
Take today at your own pace. Choose to venture to Murano where the famous Murano glass is made and perhaps purchase some souvenirs. Enjoy a stroll to the stunning Rialto Bridge, admiring the gondolas passing by. With so many delicious, local restaurants and bistros on offer, be sure to enjoy some tasty Italian cuisine!

Day 9  Fly home
