Lofoten Islands Explorer

Day 1  Narvik    
Fly to Harstad-Narvik airport in Evenes and upon arrival, collect your car and drive to your hotel in Narvik, nestled between mountains and fjords.

Day 2  Narvik to Svolvaer    
Enjoy incredible views on your drive to the Lofoten Islands. Your next base is the charming fishing town of Svolvaer, the largest town in the islands.

Day 3  Svolvaer    
This morning, admire the impressive fjords by sea on a cruise along Trollfjord and look out for sea eagles gliding through the sky. The rest of the day is yours to explore at leisure.

Day 4  Svolvaer    
Admire some of the Lofoten Islands’ best views and drive to the beautiful Haukland Beach. From here, set off on a scenic hike along the winding coast, or via Mount Mannen for views from above.

Day 5  Svolvaer to Hamnoy    
Today, drive to your hotel in Hamnoy, one of the most picturesque fishing villages in the Lofoten archipelago of Northern Norway.

Day 6  Hamnoy    
Today, explore this lovely village and take a walk to the Hamnoy Bridge for views overlooking the famous red cabins.

Day 7  Hamnoy to Harstad    
Drive to Harstad, a city with a fascinating Viking past.

Day 8  Harstad    
Spend today hiking, cycling or kayaking at nearby beauty spots. Rich in history, head to the Trondenes Historical Centre to learn about the area’s Viking and Middle Age past. From here, take the historic walking trail to see the medieval stone Trondenes Church, the northernmost of its kind, as well as further remnants of Viking life and the more recent World War II.

Day 9  Fly home    
Drive back to Evenes and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
