Scenic Madeira

Day 1  Funchal      
Take in the breathtaking scenery as you fly into Madeira. On arrival your private transfer will transport you to your hotel in Funchal.      

Day 2  Funchal      
Wander the cobbled streets of Funchal’s old town, where historic architecture contrasts against impressive urban artworks. After lunch, why not learn about the history of the Madeira wine trade on a cellar tour, complete with a tasting of the islands most renowned export. Later, be sure to visit the local restaurants to experience the eclectic food scene.      

Day 3  Funchal      
Today discover the island’s epic Atlantic Ocean views, black sand beaches and lush forested interior on your Small Group West Waterfalls and Fanal Forest Tour. Explore the island’s glorious natural sights and pay a visit to the quaint towns of Porto Moniz and Câmara de Lobos.  

Days 4-6  Funchal  
Spend the next few days exploring at your leisure, perhaps brave the cliffside Cabo Girão Skywalk or head to one of Madeira’s natural sea pools for a refreshing dip.

Day 7  Funchal      
On your final full day in Madeira, take a ride on the cable car to the hilltop town of Monte where you’ll discover panoramic views of Funchal Bay and beyond. Explore the fascinating Monte Palace Gardens, before taking a second cable car to the island’s delightful botanical gardens.

Day 8  Funchal      
Enjoy a final morning in Funchal before your private transfer back to the airport in time for your onward flight.
