Day 1 Barcelona
Make your way to your hotel for check in before heading off to explore this exciting city. Your included 3 day Barcelona Pass allows you free travel on public transport and access to over 70 of the city sights. Why not start with a ride on the hop-on hop-off bus to introduce you to the local area.
Day 2 Barcelona
Continue to explore vibrant Barcelona today with a trip to Guell Park. This fascinating collection of sculptures and mosaics are surrounded by verdant greenery. In the afternoon perhaps take a quiet stroll up the sandy shoreline of the Barceloneta for beautiful views and fresh sea air.
In the evening, experience Barcelona’s extraordinary gastronomy like a local on your included Barcelona Tapas Experience tour.
Day 3 Montserrat & Besalú
Pick up your car and travel into the countryside to your first stop, the imposing Montserrat. This uniquely located monastery sits in the very heart of the mountains and boasts an incredible selection of religious paintings and statues. Next drive north to Besalú, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Catalonia. Take some time discovering the narrow alleys and see the town’s trademark historic bridges. After your visit drive on to Girona, your base for the next two nights.
Day 4 Girona
Spend today exploring the fascinating sights of Girona, a medieval mix of museums, galleries and churches. Wander the city’s atmospheric streets and visit the impressive cathedral, made famous by its appearance in the TV series a Game of Thrones. Admire the landscape along the peaceful banks of the Onyar River and try one of the city’s fabulous restaurants serving delicious Catalan cuisine.
Day 5 Figueres
This morning drive to the small town of Figueres. This charming town is home to the incredible Teatre-Museu Dali, where the final resting place of the surrealist master is marked by a museum dedicated to his works. After exploring the fascinating and unique gallery make your way back to Girona.
Day 6 Peratallada & Pals
Leaving Girona behind, make your way towards the Costa Brava, stopping off at the beautiful villages of Peratallada and Pals to enjoy their fairytale charms. These picturesque hamlets feature historic castles, medieval, sandstone houses and pretty cobbled squares.
Days 7 & 8 Costa Brava
Spend the next two days relaxing on the lovely Costa Brava. Perhaps visit the small towns dotted along the coastline or enjoy the various hiking trails. Alternatively just relax on the seafront and soak up the Spanish Sun.
Day 9 Barcelona
This morning drive back to the airport to drop off your car in time for your onward flight.
