Itinerary

Day 1  London, UK to Zurich, Switzerland                    
Hop aboard the Eurostar for the first leg of your rail journey to the French capital. Once in Paris, connect to your train bound for Zurich. This evening, enjoy the vibrant city of Zurich at your leisure.  

Day 2  Zurich to Interlaken      
This morning, take your first rail journey to the mountain resort  of Interlaken.  

Days 3-4  Interlaken            
Explore the beautiful scenery of the Bernese Oberland. With your included Swiss Travel Pass, take a leisurely cruise across the idyllic lakes of Brienz and Thun, stopping at the quaint lakeside villages.  

Days 5-6  Interlaken to Montreux  
Join the Golden Pass train for Montreux, set on the shores of Lake Geneva. Spend a day cruising the lake on board a traditional steamboat, getting off in Lausanne to explore the medieval streets before the short train journey back to Montreux.  

Days 7-8  Zermatt                    
After a leisurely morning, take the train to Zermatt. Surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, including the famous Matterhorn, Zermatt offers the chance to get up into the mountains. Be sure to take the Klein Matterhorn cable car to Europe’s highest sightseeing spot.  

Day 9  Zermatt to St. Moritz                  
A real highlight awaits today, as you take the iconic Glacier Express. Settle into your carriage and admire unforgettable views through the domed panoramic windows while indulging in a three course lunch.  

Day 10  St. Moritz            
Home of the prestigious Snow Polo World Cup, St. Moritz is a glamorous resort town. Perhaps enjoy a peaceful cruise across the town’s namesake lake, encircled by picturesque alpine mountains or browse the boutique lined streets.  

Day 11  St. Moritz to Lugano              
Board the Bernina Express, perhaps Switzerland’s most scenic route, passing snow-capped mountains and crossing into Italy en route to the quaint town of Tirano. Change onto the Bernina Express Bus for a comfortable drive back into Switzerland and onto Lugano.

Day 12  Lugano                    
So close to Italy, Lugano will feel as if you’re staying in the Italian Lakes. Enjoy delicious Italian cuisine and take a scenic cruise across Lake Lugano, marvelling at the towering mountains that surround the glistening waters.

Day 13  Lugano to Lucerne                  
Today, embark on a wonderful journey on the Gotthard Panorama Express. On reaching Fluelen, board an elegant boat for a leisurely 2½ hour cruise across beautiful Lake Lucerne.  

Days 14-15  Lucerne                    
Spend two days exploring the outdoor adventure playground surrounding Lucerne. Take the Mount Rigi cable car for stunning vistas and perhaps join the world’s steepest cogwheel railway up Mount Pilatus. At the summit, Switzerland’s longest toboggan run awaits, along with enthralling hikes.  

Day 16  Lucerne to Zurich                    
Today, board your train back to Zurich and spend a final night in this trendy city. Perhaps enjoy a delicious evening meal at one of the many restaurants that overlook magnificent Lake Zurich.  

Day 17  Zurich to London, UK            
Bid farewell to Switzerland and board your train for your return journey to London, via Paris.
