Cycle Kerala & Tropical India

Day 1  Mysore
Arrive in Mysore and enjoy lunch and a walking tour before your bike fitting.

Day 2  Mysore
Embark on a ride to the ruins of Srirangapatnam, an island fortress on the Cauvery River, before returning for a guided tour of Mysore Palace.

Day 3  Mysore to Chamarajanagar
Cycle to Chamundi Hill to see the rock carving of Nandi, Shiva’s celestial bull before continuing to Chamarajanagar.

Day 4  Chamarajanagar to Bandipur NP
Ride through villages and witness local life before arriving in Bandipur National Park in the afternoon. Enjoy a jeep safari, with a chance to spot elephants, deer, and the elusive tiger.

Day 5  Bandipur NP to Ooty
Ride a very steep climb with 36 hairpin bends to the hill station of Ooty and be rewarded with staggering views of the Nilgiri Mountains. Alternatively, take a more relaxed ascent by support vehicle, before an afternoon at leisure.

Day 6  Ooty to Guruvayoor
Descend from Ooty, passing tea plantations towards Kerala with fabulous views around Alleppey every corner. Stop at Gadalur for lunch before transferring to Guruvayoor.

Day 7  Guruvayoor to Cherai
Cycle towards the coast, stopping at one of the oldest churches in India along the way and arriving at the ferry to Vypin Island to enjoy a free afternoon at Cherai beach.

Days 8-9  Cherai to Kochi
Cycle south through small fishing communities to board the ferry to Fort Kochi. The following day is at leisure

Day 10  Kochi to Muhamma
Pass grand Portuguese villas next to tiny fisherman’s huts as you ride towards Muhamma, arriving at your backwater resort overlooking Lake Vembanad.

Day 11  Muhamma to Backwaters
Appreciate a later start before an optional 14 mile ride exploring the village. In the afternoon, board a houseboat. Relax as you watch the world by, taking in the rice fields, tiny villages, coconut trees and fishermen at work.

Days 12-13  Backwaters to Varkala
Disembark your houseboat and take a ferry and bus transfer, before riding the scenic coastal road towards Varkala. The next day is at leisure.

Day 14  Varkala          
Your tour ends after breakfast.
