Itinerary
Day 2 Delhi
Welcome to Delhi! Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Day 3 The Toy Train
Take the Shatabdi Express train to the historic town of Kalka and board the toy train for a scenic 3 hour journey up the mountains to Shimla.
Days 4-5 Shimla
Explore Shimla on a morning city tour, taking in the Viceregal Lodge, the Sankat Mochan Temple and the town’s Gaiety Theatre. Spend the next day at leisure exploring more of Shimla, or perhaps venture further into the Himalayas for majestic mountain views.
Days 6-7 Shimla to Delhi
Take in the countryside as you travel by rail back to Delhi for a two night stay. The following day, hop in a rickshaw to explore fascinating Old Delhi. Enjoy the atmosphere as you travel through bustling streets and visit Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque.
Day 8 Delhi to Agra
Join the southbound Gatimaan Express train for the morning journey to Agra. Visit the imposing Agra Fort, before marvelling at the magnificent Taj Mahal, one of the new seven wonders of the world.
Day 9 Agra to Ranthambore NP
Leave Agra behind and stop off at the perfectly preserved city of Fatehpur Sikri. Enjoy a tour around the ancient buildings before continuing on to Ranthambore.
Day 10 Ranthambore NP
Head into Ranthambore National Park for a game drive. Keep watch for the elusive wild tigers that call Ranthambore home.
Days 11-12 Ranthambore NP to Jaipur
Enjoy a further morning game drive before journeying to Jaipur, your base for the next two nights. The following day, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the ‘Pink City’, head to the Jantar Mantar observatory before viewing the ornately decorated City Palace and renowned Palace of the Winds.
Day 13 Jaipur to Delhi
This morning, visit the remarkable Amber Fort and explore the enchanting Jaleb Chowk courtyard. Later, head back to Delhi for your final evening.
Day 14 Fly home
Departs: Selected departures, Jan - Apr & Sep - Dec
