Itinerary
Arrive in this fascinating city of contrasts and check into the elegant 5★ Glenburn Penthouse. The next day enjoy a morning sightseeing tour. Be enthralled with tales of Old Kolkata over lunch with a charismatic local socialite before ending the day with a sunset cruise along the Hooghly River.
Day 3 Kolkata to Darjeeling
Catch a flight to Bagdogra before the long drive up to the 4★+ Glenburn Tea Estate, stopping for a picnic en route. Settle into your suite before enjoying a convivial dinner with your hosts.
Days 4-5 Darjeeling
Spend a wonderful couple of days taking in the fresh mountain air and spectacular views. Tour the tea fields and the factory, ending with a tasting session to discover the incredible variety of aromas and flavours which derive from the same tea bush. Head to Darjeeling town for a day and take a nostalgic ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway ‘toy’ train.
Day 6 Darjeeling to Kolkata
Bid a fond farewell to Glenburn and your charming hosts. Transfer to Bagdogra airport for your flight back to Kolkata.
