Day 1  Delhi                                  
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.                                  

Day 2  Delhi                      
Discover the sights and sounds of India’s vibrant capital city with a private half day tour that takes in the highlights of the city’s magnificent Mughal architecture as well as the exotic atmosphere of the bustling bazaars of Old Delhi.          

Day 3  Delhi to Jaipur                        
Enjoy a leisurely morning. Head to the station to board the Palace on Wheels in the late afternoon before the train departs for Jaipur.      

Day 4  Jaipur to Ranthambore NP      
Start your tour of the city with a photo stop outside the famous façade of the Palace of the Winds. Next head to the palatial Amber Fort, located a short distance from the city where you will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before exploring the sprawling fort complex. In the afternoon there is time to shop for Jaipur’s famous handicrafts in one of the city’s bazaars before the train departs.                                    

Day 5  Ranthambore NP to Udaipur                
Keep your eyes peeled for tigers on an early morning game drive through the scenic landscapes of Ranthambore National Park, a former maharaja’s hunting ground. Later visit Chittorgarh Fort, the largest in India and an enduring symbol of Rajput valour. Uncover its moving story in the fort’s sound and light show.      

Day 6  Udaipur to Jaisalmer                
Start your exploration of the romantic city of Udaipur with a visit to the delightful Garden of the Maids of Honour. Stop for a delicious lunch in a heritage hotel before enjoying a boat trip on Lake Pichola and relax as you take in the stunning views of the surrounding hills, temples and palaces. Finish at the City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan.  

Day 7  Jaisalmer to Jodhpur      
Discover the wonders of India’s ‘Golden City’ including Jaisalmer Fort, one of the oldest inhabited forts in the world. Later, journey into the desert for a short camel ride across the dunes of Sam. Tonight enjoy a special dinner and cultural programme.          

Day 8  Jodhpur to Bharatpur                  
This morning explore the ‘Blue City’ of Jodhpur including a visit to the spectacular Mehrangarh Fort which affords breathtaking views over the city.              

Day 9  Bharatpur to Delhi      
Make an early morning stop at Bharatpur’s bird sanctuary, before continuing to Agra. Visit the magnificent Taj Mahal before exploring Agra Fort. Return to the train for your last night on board.  

Day 10  Delhi                  
Bid a fond farewell to the Palace on Wheels this morning and disembark at Delhi. You will be met at the station and transferred to your hotel.      

Day 11  Delhi              
Transfer to the airport.
