Varanasi Extension

Day 1  Delhi to Varanasi
Take a morning flight to Varanasi and head to the Ganges in the late afternoon to watch the evening Ganga Arti river worship ceremony from the famous riverside ghats (ceremonial steps). These ghats are primarily used for bathing and Hindu puja rituals.

Day 2  Varanasi
Rise early for a magical boat ride at dawn, when Varanasi’s ghats come alive as pilgrims come to the river to perform their daily rituals. Disembark at Manikarnika Ghat, one of the most sacred cremation grounds among the riverfronts, and continue through the vibrant flower market, aromatic perfume lanes and popular local food street of Kachori Gali. Arrive at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and walk around its perimeter, learning about its history and architecture. Later, explore Sarnath, an important place of pilgrimage for Buddhists located just outside the city.

Day 3  Varanasi to Delhi
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Delhi.
