Day 3 Pokhara to Modi Khola Valley
Meet with your guide and porters before transferring to Lumle, the starting point of your trek. Today’s easy 3 hour trek follows a ridgeline before dropping down to the Modi Khola Valley where your lodge is situated, overlooking Machhapuchhre mountain. After lunch there is an optional walk to nearby Birethanti, a lovely village with tea shops and souvenir stalls.
Day 4 Modi Khola Valley to Majgaun
This morning begin the steady 2 hour climb up to your next lodge, situated close to the picturesque village of Majgaun, which boasts stunning views of the surrounding valley and mountains. Relax at the lodge this afternoon or choose to explore the neighbouring villages, including the chance to visit a local school.
Day 5 Majgaun to Dhampus
Today’s relatively easy 4 hour trek takes you on a trail through the sub-tropical forest. Keep an eye out for the colourful orchids, rhododendrons and magnolias which line the route. Pass through the village of Pothana, home to many Tibetan traders and a good place to pick up some souvenirs. Arrive at your next lodge, close to the village of Dhampus. This afternoon relax and enjoy (weather permitting) the spectacular panoramic view of the entire Annapurna Range from the lodge.
Day 6 Dhampus to Pokhara
After breakfast, it’s an easy 90 minute trek downhill through woods and terraced farmland to the valley floor at Phedi. Bid farewell to your trekking guide and porters and transfer back to Pokhara. After an afternoon at leisure, enjoy a magical eveningboat trip on Lake Phewa, the second largest lake in Nepal.
Day 7 Pokhara to Kathmandu
Explore Pokhara on a morning tour, passing Tibetan villages on the way to Seti River Gorge. Stops include Devi’s Falls and the beautiful Bindhya Basini Temple. Later drive back to Kathmandu, arriving in the evening.
Day 8 Kathmandu
Enjoy a morning excursion to the medieval town of Bhaktapur, an enchanting place to visit which is famous for its ceramic industry. Later transfer to the airport.
Additional Options:Why not add an extra night or two in the scenic town of Pokhara so you can fit in a cookery class? Learn to cook delicious momos, one of Nepal’s much loved and most famous dishes.
