Day 1  Kathmandu    
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a half day tour including visits to the city’s ancient Durbar Square and the royal palace Hanuman Dhoka before finishing your day with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa, known as ‘Monkey Temple’ after the troops of monkeys which inhabit the stupa.    

Day 2  Kathmandu Valley
Spend a full day exploring the world renowned treasures of the Kathmandu Valley starting with a visit to the enormous Boudhanath Stupa, one of Nepal’s most revered temples. Continue to neighbouring Patan’s stunning Durbar Square before strolling the enchanting streets of medieval Bhaktapur.  

Day 3  Kathmandu to Pokhara    
Spend the day driving to the beautiful lakeside town of Pokhara which enjoys a stunning setting at the foot of the Annapurna mountain range.

Day 4  Pokhara    
After breakfast enjoy a morning tour of Pokhara including visits to nearby Tibetan villages, Seti River Gorge, Devi’s Falls and the beautiful 17th Century Bindhya Basini Temple. In the evening, marvel at the stunning mountain scenery as you enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the peaceful waters of Lake Phewa.    

Day 5  Pokhara to Chitwan NP    
Drive to Chitwan, Nepal’s oldest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This famous reserve is renowned for its abundant wildlife including elephants, leopards, Bengal tigers and endangered one-horned rhinos.  

Day 6  Chitwan NP    
Look out for exotic wildlife as you enjoy a full day of activities (options include jeep safaris and nature walks) offered by your lodge.    

Day 7  Chitwan NP to Kathmandu
After a final early morning activity return by road to Kathmandu.    

Day 8  Kathmandu    
Transfer to the airport.    

Additional Options:
If you don’t fancy one of our longer treks in Nepal on the following pages, why not add an extra night or two in Kathmandu so you can enjoy a day hike. This moderate 3-4 hour climb takes you past ancient temples and through remote villages inhabited by colourful ethnic groups. Reaching Nagarkot (2,000m), you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the snowcapped peaks of the Himalayas. We can also offer a short 2 day overnight hike from Pokhara. Please ask for details.
