Classic Nepal

Day 1  Fly to Kathmandu  
   
Day 2  Kathmandu    
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.  In the afternoon, enjoy an afternoon city tour including visits to the city’s ancient Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the royal palace Hanuman Dhoka. Finish your day with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa, known as the ‘Monkey Temple’ due to the troops of monkeys which inhabit the stupa.

Day 3  Kathmandu Valley    
A tour of the treasures of the Kathmandu Valley begins with a visit to the enormous Boudhanath Stupa, one of Nepal’s most revered Tibetan Buddhist temples. Continue to neighbouring Patan’s stunning Durbar Square before strolling the enchanting streets of medieval Bhaktapur, returning to Kathmandu in the evening.

Day 4  Kathmandu to Pokhara    
Spend the day driving to the beautiful lakeside town of Pokhara which enjoys a stunning setting at the foot of the Annapurna mountain range.

Day 5  Pokhara    
Enjoy a day of sightseeing in Pokhara with your guide. Stops include the beautiful 17th Century Bindhya Basini Temple, the Gurkha Museum, and the World Peace Pagoda. Finish the tour with a magical boat ride on the peaceful waters of Lake Phewa.

Day 6  Pokhara    
Today is free for you to further explore this lovely lakeside town. Opt for a cooking class, learning to make momos, one of Nepal’s most popular dishes.

Day 7  Pokhara to Chitwan NP    
Drive to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its abundant wildlife including elephants, leopards, Bengal tigers and one-horned rhinos.

Day 8  Chitwan NP    
Look out for wildlife as you enjoy a day of activities from your lodge, including a jeep safari and nature walk.

Day 9  Chitwan NP to Kathmandu    
After a final early morning activity, begin the drive back to Kathmandu and spend your final night in the capital.

Days 10-11  Fly home
