Absolute Luxury Sri Lanka & Maldives

Day 1  Colombo                        
Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival in Colombo transfer to the stylish 5★ Shangri-La Colombo, located in the very heart of the city looking out over the Indian Ocean.                        

Days 2-5  Anuradhapura  
Head to the Cultural Triangle for a 3 night stay at the superb 5★ Uga Ulagalla, a fantastic base to explore the fascinating surroundings. Marvel at the ruins of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s former capital, and enjoy a game drive in Minneriya National Park. It’s an early start the following day to climb to the top of Sigiriya’s magnificent rock fortress where you will experience wonderful views, followed by a relaxing afternoon back at the hotel. Unwind the following morning before heading to Wilpattu National Park for a game drive in search of elephants, sloth bears and the elusive leopard.      

Days 6-7  Nuwara Eliya  
Following an early drive to Peradeniya station, embark on a scenic train journey and be absorbed by the spectacular scenery through the tea country, disembarking at Nanu Oya. Continue by road to the hills surrounding Nuwara Eliya to reach the 5★ Goatfell. Learn about tea on a factory tour and discover the grounds of the neighbouring tea estate at your leisure.          

Days 8-11  Galle                    
Drive to the 4★+ Galle Fort Hotel, located within the historic fort walls in the charming city of Galle. Start with a walking tour of the fort, and enjoy some time at leisure to explore at your own pace. Embark on a boat trip past local villages and take a leisurely bike ride through verdant rice fields to a local mud house where you can try traditional Sri Lankan egg hoppers. Leave Galle and drive back to Colombo for a final night where you may opt to visit a night market to buy souvenirs, or simply take a stroll by the waterfront.  

Day 12  Maldives            
Today transfer to the airport for your flight to the Maldives, then take a seaplane to the 5★ Alila Kothaifaru where you will stay for the next 4 nights.  

Days 13-16 Maldives              
Spend your days relaxing by the infinity pool, lazing on the stunning white sandy beach or opt to indulge with a spa treatment. Those more active can enjoy excellent snorkelling in crystal clear waters or choose to partake in a host of watersports.
