Enjoy a thrilling rafting adventure on the beautiful river of Kelaniya Ganga. Start early from Kandy and drive 2.5 hours to Kitulgala. After a safety briefing and paddling instructions you will be kitted out with lifejackets and helmets. You will spend approximately 2 hours rafting on grade II-III rapids and also on calm sections of the river to give you a chance to enjoy the scenery. Towards the end of your trip you will pass the setting for the 1957 film 'Bridge on the River Kwai'. This white water rafting trip is only suitable for confident swimmers. You should bring trainers or sport sandals with an ankle strap, a change of clothes and a towel. Please note trips may be cancelled at short notice if conditions mean rafting is unsuitable
