Day 1  Fly to Colombo

Day 2  Negombo  
Upon arrival in Colombo, transfer to your hotel in nearby Negombo.

Day 3  Negombo to the Cultural Triangle  
Set off this morning for the Cultural Triangle. In the afternoon, visit Ritigala for a hike to discover an ancient monastery set amid a lush orchid-festooned forest.

Day 4  Cultural Triangle  
Head into the countryside to experience traditional Sri Lankan village life. Take a stroll through the peaceful surroundings and board a canoe to sail around an ancient reservoir, home to a variety of birdlife. Enjoy a delicious local lunch before returning to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 5  Sigiriya & Polonnaruwa  
Climb the spectacular rock fortress of Sigiriya and later, visit the remains of the former capital city of Polonnaruwa.

Day 6  Cultural Triangle to Kandy  
Today, continue to the hill country capital of Kandy and in the evening, enjoy a cultural show and visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Day 7  Kandy to Nuwara Eliya  
Visit the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens at Peradeniya before driving up into the tea planted hills around Nuwara Eliya, stopping en route at a tea factory.

Day 8  Horton Plains NP  
It’s an early start today as you set off to Horton Plains for a scenic hike. Pass beautiful Baker’s Falls and in clear weather, admire the spectacular view from the World’s End escarpment. After, return to Nuwara Eliya for an afternoon at leisure.

Day 9  Nuwara Eliya to Yala NP  
Depart for the south coast to your hotel near Yala National Park.

Day 10  Bundala NP & Yala NP  
Rise early for a game drive in Bundala National Park, renowned for its abundant wildlife. You may also spot elephants, deer and crocodiles. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Yala, keeping an eye out for leopards.

Day 11  Yala NP to Udawalawe NP
This morning, visit Yala for a second time before heading to your hotel near Udawalawe National Park.

Day 12  Udawalawe NP  
Enjoy a leisurely morning and later, visit the Elephant Transit Home, an amazing centre which looks after orphaned elephants until they are ready to be released into the wild. After watching the elephant feeding session, embark on an afternoon game drive.

Day 13  Udawalawe NP to Galle  
Depart early and journey south to Galle, stopping en route at Sinharaja Forest Reserve for a nature walk in this pristine ecosystem, soaking up the glorious jungle sights and sounds.

Day 14  Galle to Bentota  
This morning, explore Galle Fort on a walking tour with a local resident. Stroll through the streets past some of the best known landmarks, including the lighthouse and old Portuguese harbour. Afterwards, drive north to your beachfront resort.

Day 15  Bentota  
Spend today unwinding by the beach, or make use of the excellent array of facilities at your resort.

Days 16-17  Transfer to Colombo and fly home
