Itinerary
Known as the ‘City of Sails’, Sail on the harbour, visit ancient rainforest or simply indulge in great shopping before sampling the restaurants and cafés of Viaduct Harbour.
Days 6-9
Bubbling mud pools and colourful craters make geology come to life in geothermal Rotorua. Learn the moves of the famous Maori haka, visit Frodo in Hobbiton and stop by Rainbow Springs Nature Park to meet the shy rescue kiwis before continuing to the volcanic peaks of Tongariro.
Days 10-13
Welcome to the South Island! Trek through ancient forests and relax on the sweeping golden beaches of Abel Tasman National Park before continuing to Kaikoura for an aqua adventure. Here you can whale watch or snorkel with playful dusky dolphins.
Days 14 -16
Barbecue on the shores of turquoise Lake Tekapo and learn all about the night sky at the Mount John Observatory. Tackle one of Queenstown’s mountain biking trails, zipline down Roy’s Peak or take to the water on an exhilarating jet boat adventure.
