Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
Welcome to Brazil. Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, transfer to your hotel and relax for the rest of the day.
Day 3 Rio de Janeiro
Today, enjoy a tour to two of Rio’s most iconic sights which promise jaw-dropping views. Take the train up Corcovado and stand at the feet of Christ the Redeemer. After lunch, head to the world-famous landmark Sugarloaf Mountain, ride a cable car to the top and take in 360 degree views of the bay and islands.
Day 4 Rio de Janeiro
Unwind with a day at leisure in this magnificent city. Embrace the local way of life on the renowned beaches, explore bohemian Santa Teresa or perhaps visit the legendary home of Brazilian football at Maracanã Stadium.
Day 5 Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls
Fly to the Iguassu Falls area, transfer to your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure.
Day 6 Iguazú Falls, Argentina
After a leisurely breakfast, explore the Argentine side of the falls. Board a small train for a tour through the park before meandering through the walkways, listening to the roar of the thundering waters and visit the suspended platform at the Devil’s Throat, the largest of the waterfalls.
Day 7 Iguassu Falls, Brazil to São Paulo
Today, take a tour of the Brazilian side of the falls, stroll along the trail that descends down the canyon and soak up the amazing panoramic views of this great wonder of the world. Later, fly to the dynamic city of São Paulo where you will spend the night.
Day 8 São Paulo to the Amazon Rainforest
Fly to the city of Manaus and transfer to your Amazon lodge to start your jungle adventure. Take a tour of the monkey forest, before returning to the lodge for dinner. This evening, embark on a night tour by canoe, keeping an eye out for caimans and other nocturnal creatures.
Days 9-10 Amazon Rainforest
Spend two days experiencing the sights and sounds of the jungle with a range of exciting tours from your lodge. Take a boat trip in search of wildlife and trek through the jungle with knowledgeable guides to learn about traditional Amazonian life.
Day 11 Amazon Rainforest to Rio de Janeiro
Leave the rainforest behind as you travel to Manaus and fly to Rio de Janeiro for a night in this lively city.
Day 12 Rio de Janeiro to Búzios
Journey by road to the scenic beachside town of Búzios.
Days 13-14 Búzios
Relax on the many beaches which surround this charming peninsula and explore the chic cafés, buzzing bars and popular local restaurants which line the pretty waterfront promenade.
Days 15-16 Transfer to Rio de Janeiro and fly home
Additional Options: Why not extend your holiday and visit Salvador, one of the oldest cities in Brazil, overlooking the beautiful All Saint’s Bay? Located further north up the coast, most easily reached by a direct flight from Rio, this colourful city is an ideal stop for culture, music and dancing.

Why not time your trip to Brazil with the ’Greatest Show on Earth’ and tick off your bucket list as you embrace the party atmosphere across the city. Spend an evening at the famous Sambadrome watching the fabulous parade of top samba schools performing and feeling the resonance of the drums, cymbals and trumpets echo through the stadium. Whilst the dates of the festival vary by year, they always fall in February or March around Ash Wednesday when the winning school of samba performers are announced.
