Day 1 Rio de Janeiro        
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel            

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro          
Today discover two of Rio’s iconic locations. Take the train to the top of Corcovado and marvel at the Christ the Redeemer statue before riding the cable cars up Sugarloaf Mountain for fantastic views over Copacabana beach.            

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro to Ilha Grande          
Journey by road and boat along Brazil’s Costa Verde (Green Coast) to the tropical scenery and gorgeous beaches of Ilha Grande.          

Days 4-5 Ilha Grande      
Enjoy your time on this wonderful island exploring winding hiking trails through verdant jungle, discovering sweeping stretches of beach and spotting diverse wildlife. Join a boat tour to take you to the perfect white sands of stunning Lopes Mendes beach and swim in the aquamarine waters of the bay.            

Day 6 Ilha Grande to Rio de Janeiro    
Return to Rio de Janeiro to discover more of this energetic city.      

Day 7 Rio de Janeiro to Trancoso  
Fly to Porto Seguro. On arrival you will be met and driven down the coast to Trancoso.    

Day 8 Trancoso        
Head to Espelho, a beautiful beach backed by lush vegetation. With your guide take a trail over the red clay clifftops to admire the scenery, with time to relax before returning to Trancoso.

Day 9 Trancoso        
A full day at leisure in charming Trancoso. Sip an ice cold drink in a bar on the Quadrado (main square) with its pretty white church or lie in the shade of a palm tree on the idyllic beach.

Day 10 Trancoso to Salvador        
Transfer to Porto Seguro for your flight to the colourful city of Salvador.

Day 11 Salvador        
Take a full day tour to discover the contrasting suburbs of Salvador. Begin in modern Barra before exploring the historic Pelourinho neighbourhood. In the afternoon head to the quieter Itapagipe Peninsula to experience a slower pace of life.    

Day 12 Salvador to Praia do Forte    
Drive north up the scenic Coconut Highway to the attractive village of Praia do Forte.      

Days 13-15 Praia do Forte            
Spend your days relaxing on the beach or strolling down the lively main street. Don’t miss the chance to visit the sea turtle conservation project to see the work being done on the Brazilian coast to protect these endangered animals (payable locally).  

Day 16 Praia do Forte to Salvador          
Return to Salvador airport for your onward travel arrangements.
