Brazilian Amazon Adventure

Day 1  Fly to Rio de Janeiro      

Day 2  Rio de Janeiro      
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.      

Days 3-4  Rio de Janeiro    
Take a guided tour of two of Rio’s most famous sights. Marvel at the impressive Christ the Redeemer statue atop Corcovado then ride the cable cars up Sugarloaf Mountain for spectacular views. The following day is at leisure to explore this legendary city at your own pace. Unwind on the iconic beaches, visit a traditional café in Leblon or wander the cobbled streets of chic Santa Teresa.      

Day 5  Rio de Janeiro to Manaus      
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Manaus, an urban metropolis in the heart of the jungle.      

Day 6  Manaus to Amazon Lodge  
Depart early and travel deep into the rainforest to your lovely lodge.    

Days 7-8  Amazon Lodge    
Located near the quieter tributaries of the Amazon and close to protected reserves, your intimate jungle lodge will offer a range of excursions operated on a shared basis with other guests which vary each day. Set off with your expert guide on a hike through the rainforest, take to the water on a boat trip and visit local villages. There will be time to relax between excursions and lodges will often offer night walks to give you the opportunity to experience this unique destination after dark.      

Day 9  Amazon Lodge to Manaus    
Enjoy a final morning activity at your lodge before journeying back to Manaus.  

Day 10  Manaus to Amazon River Cruise
See the highlights of Manaus, the Gateway to the Amazon on a guided tour before travelling to the pier to embark on your Amazon river cruise.

Days 11-12  Amazon River Cruise  
Experience the rainforest from a different vantage point on the deck of a river boat as you sail this mighty waterway. Spend your days exploring the rainforest on guided walks, enjoying canoe rides along the lakes and streams in search of wildlife or learning about the ways of life, customs and cultures of the communities that have made this challenging environment home. Spot pink river dolphins playing in the ship’s wake, sip sundowners on the upper deck and sample delicious traditional cuisine.      

Days 13-14  Fly home      
Disembark your Amazon river cruise after breakfast and transfer to Manaus airport for your flight home.
