After an early pick up, you will drive to the Rio Blanco Nature Reserve in Caldas. Rio Blano is one of the most important birding sites in Colombia and is home to over 350 species of bird. In this reserve you can explore the trails that criss-cross the 12,000 acres of beautiful cloud forest. A number of endemic species have been identified in the area including the Chestnut Wood Quail and Golden-Fronted Whitestar, along with other migrating species which are seen between August and October. You naturalist guide will take you through some of these trails and help you find the best locations to enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest.
