Itinerary
Leave Bogotá and drive to the colonial town of Villa de Leyva. The rest of the day is at your leisure so perhaps head to one of the cafés or bars located around the main plaza, believed to be the largest cobbled square in Latin America.
Day 2 Villa de Leyva
Start your day with a visit to the Archaeological Museum Park of El Infiernito, home to stone columns known as megaliths believed to be 2,200 years old. Head to Santo Ecce Homo, a former Dominican convent, and the Fossil Museum, built in the exact location where a 120 million year old Kronosauraus was discovered in 1977. Continue to the colourful villages of Raquira and Sutamarchán before finishing the day at a local vineyard to enjoy a tasting of the Colombian wines produced here.
Day 3 Villa de Leyva to Bogotá
Return to Bogotá in time for your onward flight connection.
