Day 1 Quito
Arrive in Quito and explore this colonial city at leisure before meeting your fellow travellers in the evening.
Day 2 Quito to Chinese Hat
Take an early flight to Baltra, transfer to Puerto Ayora and board the Estrella del Mar, home for the next seven nights. Get your first taste of this magical archipelago and meet giant tortoises in the wild.
Day 3 Chinese Hat to Isla Rábida
Explore the lava flows and tunnels on the small island of Chinese Hat, before a refreshing dip in its turquoise waters searching for fish and sea turtles in the protected bay. In the afternoon, explore the red sand beaches and look out for wading flamingos and nesting pelicans.
Day 4 Isla Rabida to Punta Espinoza
Head to Playa Espumilla, one of the most idyllic beaches in the Galápagos Islands and home to sea turtle nesting sites. Later, land at Puerto Egas, home to the elusive Galápagos hawk and a variety of shore birds and reptiles.
Day 5 Punta Espinoza to Urbina Bay
Discover a number of different trails on the Punta Espinoza landing site, the youngest of the Galápagos islands and home to a large colony of marine iguanas and sea birds.
Day 6 Urbina Bay to Punta Moreno
After a morning visit to Elizabeth Bay, head out on a small boat and look for sea turtles.
Day 7 Punta Moreno to Puerto Ayora
Visit the small town of Puerto Villamil before hiking to the rim of Sierra Negra Volcano. Tour ‘Las Tintoreras’ Shark Alley, one of the best places to see reef sharks and manta rays. Complete your day with a visit to the Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre.
Day 8 Puerto Ayora to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno
Explore Puerto Ayora and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. After lunch, hike to the beautiful beach of Tortuga Bay, why not rent a kayak in search of rays and turtles?
Day 9 Puerto Baquerizo Moreno to Quito
Visit the San Cristóbal Interpretation Centre to learn more about the island’s natural history and ecosystems before a flight back to Quito.
Day 10 Quito
After breakfast your tour comes to an end.
