A birdwatchers and hikers paradise, Pasochoa is a cloud forest with a unique location within an extinct volcano. Depart Quito early and travel through the Avenue of the Volcanos to the Pasochoa Forest (approx. one hour drive). The forest is home to a variety of birdlife including at least 11 species of hummingbird. When skies are clear a hike here is even more magical, as stunning snow-capped peaks can be viewed in the distance. There a number of walking trails to choose here ranging between 3 and 6 hours and varying difficulty levels, your guide will discuss the different options with you. After your hike enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before driving back to Quito.
